|
In 1968, two
close friends and rival coaches, MBCA 'founding fathers' Howard Ferguson and Thomas O'Connell, had a
unique vision to bring together baseball coaches from across the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts. What started with just two men has
blossomed into an impressive organization of over 700 high school,
college, and youth league coaches. The MBCA's mission is to
promote
high school baseball and academics, to foster the highest level of
professionalism and ethics among its members, to
recognize excellence, and to maintain strong contacts with national,
state, and local
baseball organizations. |

Congratulations to Coach Dan Dulchinos for his recent induction into the City of Chicopee's Hall of Fame. Coach Dulchinos is an inaugural member of the Chicopee Hall, and this is the latest of his many noteworthy achievements. As the only coach in Chicopee Comprehensive High School's 47-year history, Coach Dulchinos has compiled a 630-366 record, winning 22 league titles, four Western Massachusetts Championships, and one State Championship. Coach Dulchinos is a MBCA Hall of Famer, his teams have won several MIAA Sportsmanship Awards, and in 1994 Chicopee's Rivers Park was renamed Dulchinos Field in his honor. Coach Dulchinos is still going strong as he closes in on 700 wins! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
