Brendan Casey

Tufts University

Now in his seventh season in the Jumbo program, Brendan has been a part of Tufts teams that won back-to-back New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championships in 2016 and 2017 along with the 2019 conference crown. He works with the Jumbo hitters and middle infielders, helping the team lead the league in hitting for both 2018 and 2019.

A 2013 graduate of Azusa Pacific University, Casey played for former Jumbo Paul Svagdis at Azusa Pacific who was recently named head coach at Tufts.  Brendan was a third baseman for the Cougars and was a team captain as a senior in 2013. During Azusa Pacific’s 47-12 season in 2012, Casey had career-highs in home runs (6), runs batted in (30), and hits (59) to help the Cougars clinch a Golden State Athletic Conference championship and a berth in the NAIA Playoffs. He also spent two years as an assistant coach at his alma mater.

The MBCA is proud to have Brendan Casey share his teaching philosophy with our association.
