Mike Gambino

Mike Gambino will share his expertise in the area of hitting with the MBCA members. Coach Gambino was an assistant coach for the Eagles from 2003-05 and returned to take over the reigns last season and has rejuvenated the Boston College program. Gambino spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Virginia Tech under former BC head coach, Pete Hughes. He served as the Hokies’ recruiting coordinator and also worked with the hitters and infielders. Virginia Tech’s batting average improved 40 points (from .279 to .319) under his direction since the 2006 season. Last season, under his direction, Boston College’s batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage all improved from the prior season.
